STUDIES INDICATE THREE OUT OF FOUR PORTLANDERS WILL SUFFER FROM PARALLAX WITHIN THEIR LIFETIME

Portland, OR - June 3rd, 2010 – Local production company, One Horn Goat, will premiere its play, Parallax, and bring to the stage their particular blend of abstract humor and do-it-yourself inventiveness. Parallax is a stage play that marries the flexibility of film with the intimacy of live theater. Include animation, live musicians, and original songs, and Parallax is a truly a multi-media theatrical experience.

One Horn Goat Productions is a creative media collective based in Portland, Oregon and has been making films together for three years. The Goats devised Parallax in an attempt to create a more tangible product and engage a wider audience, first-hand.

So what is Parallax about? Writer, Sarah Owen, answers, “Well, it’s about how love cuts your heart out.” Nervous laugh. “But it will make you happy. Really. It’s a romantic absurdity.” Synopsis: After an eventful night of sleepwalking, a man wakes to find himself covered in ink, pants ripped to shreds and the love of his life no where to be found. The Berger-Duffy Institute (c/o OHG) cordially invites you to analyze the case study of Lawrence Phillips. Opening June 19th at Curious Comedy, at the Watershed on June 26^th, and at the Artistry, July 8^th.
